Kate has been specialised is Paediatric Physiotherapy since 2004. After graduating from Sheffield Hallam University in the UK she worked in the National Health Service. During this time she gained experience in outpatients, special needs schools, on the acute wards and NICU.
Kate moved to the UAE in 2010 and worked in a large hospital in Dubai covering inpatient, outpatients and NICU. She has also worked at well-established children’ clinics in Dubai working as part of child centred multidisciplinary teams.
She has many years of experience working with children with neurological, orthopaedic and respiratory problems. Kate has special interests in early intervention of infants, prematurely born babies, children with developmental delays, and pre and post-operative orthopaedic care.
She has training in the Bayley III developmental assessment which helps to identify and guide treatment of developmental delays in children from 1 to 42 months.
Kate is committed to evidence based practice and continues to expand her training and knowledge base. She has attended post graduate training in Bobath therapy (NDT), gait analysis, postural care and seating, Clinical Pilates, Kinesiotaping, and continued updates on neurological and orthopaedic management.
Kate is a Registered/Licensed Physiotherapist with the DHA, Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) UK, a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (UK) and of the Association of Paediatric Chartered Physiotherapists (UK).
